What Are Wax Melts?
Wax melts are a great alternative to candles, as they're great value and simple to use. Just follow our step by step guide and if you need any help, just drop us a line.
- Remove the lid from the melt pot and cut enough wax to put in the dish of your wax burner/melter. We recommend 1/4 to a 1/3 of a pot. DO NOT put the plastic pot in the dish or overfill the dish with wax otherwise you’ll have a mess on your hands!
- DO NOT add water.
- Light an unscented tealight below and as the wax is heated and melts the fragrance is released into the air.
- Unlike a candle, the wax doesn’t evaporate because there is no wick, so once the scent has disappeared or you want to change the wax melt from the burner it will need removing from the burner dish. To do this, allow the wax to cool completely and then loosen the wax with a butter knife and it should pop out cleanly.
Kiss Air Candles handmade wax melts are made using natural soy wax which is a soft wax so are suitable for both tealight and electric burners. They're strong wax tarts and you only need 1/4 of a pot to fragrance your home and each full pot will release fragrance for up 32 hours! The melts come in a resealable pot, so you can cut as much wax as you need for your warmer, put the lid back on and easily store it away for another time.
